ROMAN DŁUGOŁĘCKI

Warsaw, 11 June 1946. Judge Antoni Knoll, acting as a member of the Main Commission for the Investigation of German Crimes in Poland, interviewed the person named below, who testified as follows:

My name is Roman Długołęcki, son of Bronisław and Marianna, born on 23 October 1897 in Warsaw; religion – Roman Catholic. I am the assistant curate at the Parish of the Savior, and I reside at Chochołowska Street 13.

On 5 August 1944 I was in my flat at Mokotowska Street 13, and since the residents of this house were not evacuated by the Germans, I cannot say what happened in Mokotowska Street and at the Gestapo building in aleja Szucha. Nor do I know anything certain about the fate of the men who were detained at the time. I assume, however, that they were executed. I base my assumption on the fact that none of them have returned to date.

The report was read out. At this point the interview was concluded.
