My memories of German crimes

For seven [sic] years of occupation, the Germans oppressed the Poles. I have various memories from those times.

I remember one accident from the occupation. The Germans caught three Polish partisans in Domaszowice near Kielce. They were badly beaten by the Germans. While beating one of the partisans, they broke his arms and legs and tortured [him] to death. The remaining partisans were tied up by the Germans and taken to a prison in Kielce. The killed partisan was hung on a pole at the crossroads. The Germans ordered that the corpse be left like this for three days and then buried. If the corpse had been taken off before the set time, the Germans would have shot 50 men from Domaszowice.
