My memories of German crimes

On 1 September 1939, the Germans bombed the airport in nearby Masłów. A man and a child died. A cow was also killed. On the next day, a German plane dropped an incendiary bomb on the village of Szydłówek near Kielce. The buildings caught fire. On the Sunday of 3 September, people started fleeing from the Germans. On Monday, the highway was packed with people, troops and various vehicles. On Monday night, the Germans were in Słowik (near Kielce) and attacked Kielce, but they were repelled. They attacked again and captured Kielce. On Tuesday morning, the Germans came to Dąbrowa. They shot an innocent man. Dąbrowa soon became a site of the mass shooting of Poles who were brought here in cars. One night in 1944, the Germans surrounded our village and took people for forced labor.
