What do the mass graves tell us?
The graves of heroes can be found across the width and breadth of Poland, from the Carpathians to the blue waves of the Baltic Sea. They can be found in the forests, along paths, in the fields and in various other places. If these graves could talk, they would tell us: “Respect and love Poland, because we gave it to you as a free country. We did not begrudge our lives, we did not bemoan the fields and meadows, we did not pity our wives, children and mothers who were dependent on us.” Let us honor these graves, because buried in them are the heroes who won our freedom. We must never forget about these graves. Let us honor them as we honor the graves of our fathers and mothers.
