My wartime experience
At the end of July 1944, the war started and the Germans fought the Russians. When the war started, all the people fled to the forest. The Germans ran away along the road leading to Curyn. I saw the straw near the mill burning, along with barracks and many other houses on fire. The Germans first fled to Warsaw, and from Warsaw they went to Berlin.
