My wartime experience
The war began on 24 July 1944. The Germans were fighting against Poland. When the war came, we moved to the shelters. Bullets exploded over our heads. When I got out of the shelter, I saw many soldiers walking along the roads. Towards the end of July, the Soviet army came. The Germans fought the Soviets, but Russia quickly won the war. The war was a very sad time for me. The war ended in 1945.
