1. Date and place of execution:
In July 1944 (I don’t remember the exact date), in the Wełecz Forest.
2. Type of execution (shooting, hanging, etc.):
Shooting.
3. Personal data of the murdered victims:
Poles, Jews, foreigners: Poles.
Number of murdered victims: 35.
The victims were brought in from: Various locations in Stopnica district.
Surnames, ages, professions/occupations, addresses:
Three brothers by the surname of Dziki – young boys, farmers from Radzanów, Radzanów commune, Stopnica district. I do not know any more surnames.
4. Is it known what the victims were accused of, whether the execution was carried out in retaliation, etc.?
It is unknown.
5. Who carried out the execution (gendarmes, Gestapo men, SS men, policemen, the Wehrmacht)?
Gestapo men from Busko.
6. Are the surnames of the perpetrators known (provide the surnames if known)?
Gestapo man known as “Hanc”; I don’t know his surname.
7. Were the corpses burnt or destroyed otherwise?
No.
8. Where were the corpses buried (provide the exact location)?
The Wełecz Forest by the village of Wełecz, Busko-Zdrój commune.
9. Description of the place of burial (graves, dimensions, estimated number of victims buried in one grave):
A grave of medium size, flat, 3.5 meters long, with all victims buried together.
10. Were the corpses exhumed, were they officially reinterred (report)? If “yes” to the latter, then where?
Some corpses were uncovered and taken away by the families, but I do not know by whom exactly.
11. Are there any grounds for conducting their exhumation in the future?
No.
On 5 September 1945, the contents of the above questionnaire were officially confirmed by the head of Busko-Zdrój commune, Jan Skrzypek, with the Municipal Court in Busko-Zdrój.
