On 8 June 1947, Dawid Fischmann appeared in the office of the police of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration in Stuttgart, Western section no. 1002, camp no. 664, Reinsburgstrasse, and made the following declaration in lieu of an oath:

During the German occupation, in 1940 and 1941, when I lived in Radom, Böttcher served as Polizeiführer for Radom and the Radom district. I worked in the Steyr-Daimler-Puch factory in the position of "staff". Böttcher would often come there for inspection. He was a handsome tall man.
At that time the Jews were forbidden to leave the ghetto and work outside its premises. My brother-in-law, Ickowicz, a foreman and a factory owner, thought that he could go to his factory, and accordingly, on 30 January 1943 he went to work. On the same evening he was taken to prison by a Jew from the order police.
On 4 February, the Jewish police and the "Ukrainians" came to execute my brother-in-law and a few other Jews. I knew them: they were Gottleib and Borenstein. When the Judenrat called Böttcher to ask him to pardon the above named men, he refused. All of them were shot in the afternoon. The Germans used dumdum bullets.
Böttcher was personally in charge of all displacements and was present during each action. In November 1943, he ordered that a certain number of Poles be hanged. The unfortunates were hanged in various parts of town.
