I know Polizeiführer Böttcher from Tomaszów. I lived in Tomaszów until the liquidation of the ghetto, that is until the end of May 1943. Böttcher often came to Tomaszów and each time he carried out a displacement action. I remember very well that on 28 October and 2 November [1942] Böttcher organized a displacement during which 12,000 people were sent to the crematorium in Treblinka. On both days Böttcher stood there, surrounded by the SS men, and selected people who were to be sent to the crematorium. After the displacement was complete, all remaining Jews from the ghetto were sent to Bliżyn. Böttcher often came to Bliżyn and each one of his visits resulted in another displacement action and more victims. One time in 1943, Böttcher displaced barrack no. 4. 300 people were killed on this occasion.
I declare, in lieu of an oath, that the above is true to facts. I am aware of the criminal liability for making false declarations. I am ready to appear before a court as a witness.
