With regard to the matter at hand I can provide the following information: on the morning of 28 October 1943, some gendarmes from Kaszewice, led by Rachwał, came in a bus to our village of Krasice.

At the time, my son Ludwik was apprenticed to a tailor, Jan Strzelczyk from Krasice. When the gendarmes entered Strzelecki’s property, they asked my son what he was doing. When my son answered that he was apprenticed to a tailor, Rachwał took out handcuffs and cuffed my son and Władysław Pabijasz, a resident of Kobylany. Then he took them on that bus; at the same time they took also: Zofia Tyras, Ignacy Ślęzak, Antoni Dudek, Maria Tyras, Eleonora Jurczyk, Wincenty Psonka, Andrzej Kała and Maciej Boral, residing in Kaszewice, and they were taken there by car.

On the same day I learned that all of the above-mentioned people had been shot in Aniołów, Częstochowa district. As for my son, he had been taken without any reason, because when my wife went to remonstrate with Rachwał that the quota had been delivered, he beat her.

I have testified to all I know and signed the report after it was read out to me.
