I only know that during Easter 1944, some 100 partisans were present for a few days in the village of Molendy. The Germans got wind of this and on Good Friday surrounded the village. A battle ensued, during which 16 partisans and 3 civilians died. In the course of the fighting the Germans burned down 10 homesteads, however by accident – bullets set the buildings alight. My homestead was the only one they destroyed intentionally.
