The execution was carried out in retaliation – relatives of the above named people took part

in the assault on the family of a Pole (Hołuj) suspected of collaborating with the Germans.

5. Who carried out the execution (gendarmes, Gestapo men, SS men, policemen, the Wehrmacht)?

The execution was carried out by the gendarmes from Lipsko.

6. Are the surnames of the perpetrators known? (Give the surnames).

The execution was perpetrated by senior gendarme Werner and gendarme Martin.

7. Were the corpses burnt or destroyed otherwise (where)?

The corpses were buried in a Roman Catholic cemetery in Pawłowice.

The victims were buried in 2 graves: 2 bodies in one and 3 bodies in the other.

On 1 October 1945, the contents of the above questionnaire were officially certified by Stefan Stępień, the head of Pawłowice commune, with the Municipal Court in Lipsko nad Wisłą.
