Local Jewish residents and Jews from Vienna.

200 people – Jews from Vienna.

8. What was the average number of prisoners in the camp?

About 4000 people.

9. What is the total number of prisoners who passed through the camp while it operated?

About 4000 people.

10. What happened with the prisoners upon liquidation of the camp?

They were taken to the train station in Sandomierz and about 100 people were

murdered there.

11. Did the prisoners work in the camp (type of work performed, types of workshops)?

No.

12. Did the prisoners work outside the camp? What did they do and where?

No.

13. What food did the prisoners receive?

The Jews had their own food supplies in the ghetto.

There was a small hospital.

Typhus.

No data is available, but the death rate was reportedly really high.

During the camp’s existence, there were no executions, but when the camp was being

liquidated, 100 people unfit for transport were murdered.

The corpses were left on the spot.

The corpses of the people murdered upon liquidation of the ghetto were transferred to

a Jewish cemetery, where they were buried.

The camp was managed by a Jewish community assisted by a special Jewish militia

under the supervision of the German gendarmerie.

On 10 September 1945, the contents of the above questionnaire were officially certified by the head of the Klimontów Commune, Stanisław Paluch, with the Municipal Court in Sandomierz.
