Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

I live in Kielce at Armii Czerwonej Street 40.
I remember how before the war, during the German occupation – although I don’t remember an exact date or even the year (it must have been before the Ghetto was established, as the Poles had still lived at the future site of the Ghetto) – some Jews from Vienna had come to my house. They were quartered in the school at Św. Aleksandra Street, but they were free, nobody was watching them. I cannot say how many Jews there were, but I know that those who stayed at my place didn’t go to work.
The Jews stayed in my house until the establishment of the Ghetto, but I don’t know what happened to them after that.
