ANDRZEJ MISZCZAK

I.

Smallholding farmer Andrzej Miszczak, residing in Chełmno, Koło district, supporting a family of eight children aged from six to twenty, testified that he would often see vehicles and hear the screams of people suffocating, and that the odor of dead bodies could be smelt everywhere in the vicinity.

Miszczak was in contact with people working in the “death factory”, that is Kajetan Skrzypczyński, son of Michael, residing in Żarówka, in the General Government, post office: Zdziasza (or Zdzierszyn) [Zdziarzec], Mielec district, Kraków Voivodeship. Skrzypczyński was sending and receiving letters through Miszczak from his father and sister named Aleksandra, living in Mosin (Moschin), Ogrodowa Street 7 (Gartenstraße7), Srom district [Śrem] (Schri[mm]), Poznań Voivodeship (Warthegau).

Kajetan Goszczyński, recently residing in Radzymin, who had been taken into the forts of Poznań to be executed, and then to Chełmno, went away in an unknown direction after the Germans fled. Along with him were forest ranger Piekowski (now deceased); son of a mayor from the Poznań Voivodeship, Stanisław Polubiński, whose further fate is unknown to Miszczak; Leszek Jaskolski; Marian Monko; and a gardener from a small property in Cepiew near Poznań, Marian Malicak. The witness does not know the current addresses of these individuals.

Miszczak is in possession of a tattered photograph of one of the perpetrators.
