WACŁAW RYBARCZYK

On 15 January 1949 in Wicie, at 10.30 a.m., I, Marian Konduj from the MO [Citizens’ Militia] station in Wilga, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the liability for making false declarations, the witness testifies as follows:

Name Wacław Rybarczyk
Parents’ names Feliks and Katarzyna, née Widłak
Age 35
Date of birth 30 May 1914, in Wicie, Wilga Commune
Religious affiliation Roman Catholic
Occupation farmer
Place of residence Wicie, Garwolin District
Relationship to the parties none

As to the present case, I know the following: I, Wacław Rybarczyk, in the case of John Sterna, declare that during the occupation he worked at the land reclamation site in the Wilga Commune, as a technical assistant, and he had Polish employees assigned to work for him at his disposal. At the same time, there was a Jewish camp and its prisoners were employed at the above-mentioned earthworks site in the Wilga Commune. As far as I know, John Sterna behaved impeccably towards Poles, but I do not know anything about his behavior towards the Jews.

I don’t know anything else about the case.

At this point, the report was concluded, read out, and signed.
