Mr. and Mrs. Polanowicz, the parents of my charge, Maria Teresa Polanowicz (born on 15 June 1933 in Warsaw), lived in the Warsaw Ghetto at Okopowa Street (I don’t know their names or dates of birth). Mr. and Mrs. Polanowicz went missing during the fighting between German troops and the residents of the Ghetto, which took place in 1942.

Their daughter, the above-mentioned Maria, was in Okuniew near Warsaw at the time and thus managed to survive.
