My most memorable moment from the occupation

The moment I remember best from the occupation is the destruction of the village of MoĊ‚dawa by the Germans in 1943. First they surrounded the village and herded all people to a barn. Next they began throwing incendiary grenades. The people who were locked in the barn died amidst groans and cries. Only those who had slipped out earlier managed to survive, but those who were caught were thrown alive into the fire. There was so much screaming, crying and moaning that it hurt your ears. When the Germans left, people began to collect and bury the bones of the martyrs. They did this even though they were sure that if the Germans saw them, they would be severely punished. There was a lot of tears and everyone thought in their soul that they would avenge the blood of the innocent.
