During the Warsaw Uprising I lived in my own house at Olimpijska Street 17 in Warsaw, just by the Mokotów fort. Already before the Uprising, the fort had been occupied by the Air Force Command from Okęcie, Fughafenkommando Warschau, and until 15 August 1944 General Doerfler was the commander.

On 1 August 1944, having repelled the insurgent attack, the Germans made an assault on the house of Maria Konarska, situated at the corner of Racławicka and Balonowa streets, as the house had been the starting point of the insurgent action. The house was burnt and the residents were murdered. I did not witness these events, but I heard about them from other residents of the fort.

On 1 August at about 5.00 p.m. the Germans threw me and my family out of our flat and marched us to the dungeon of Mokotów fort, where we stayed until 20 August, the day when the civilians were evacuated to the Pruszków camp.

The details concerning the experiences of the people and the behavior of the Germans given in the testimony of citizen Weiss are true to the facts. More information about Doerfler could be provided by lawyer Osuchowski, currently employed in the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego [National Economy Bank], as during our stay in the dungeon he spoke with the Germans on behalf of us all.

At this point the report was concluded and read out.
